The Albatros' flight dynamics have been based not only on the real world operating manual for the aircraft but on personal flying experience at the controls of a real L-39C, and with extensive further input from and testing by real L-39 pilots. The aircraft is capable of realistic and stable spins as well as slide slips. While it is generally an easy aircraft to fly, and tolerant of mistakes, it will bite when provoked. The L-39 is not a powerful aircraft and relies on its slippery shape for its speed. Its unique handling quirks will reward pilots who seek a challenging "stick and rudder" flight experience.
