The Lotus L-39 is compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator X, and requires that either Service Pack 2, or the Acceleration expansion pack be installed. It is also compatible with FSX Gold Edition. The aircraft is compatible with FSX DirectX 10 Preview mode, however realtime cockpit shadows have not been implemented due to their excessive geometry requirements and resulting negative performance impact on DirectX 9 users.

The original unpatched release of FSX and Service Pack 1 are not supported.

For best results the following hardware is highly recommended:

• Intel Core2 Duo 6600 or better CPU
• Nvidia graphics card with 512 mb or more video memory
• NaturalPoint Track-Ir 4 or 5 pro head tracking device
• Saitek X52 Pro Flight Control System
• CH Pro rudder pedals
